Gregory J. Chabot PRINCIPAL 

Greg graduated from the University of Maine (Orono)
with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a concentration
in Accounting. He also has his MBA degree from the University of Maine.
He primarily services municipal clients and is currently the department
head for the municipal department.

Greg’s personal interests include hunting, gardening,
and spending time at camp.
Greg's experience at RKO has included many not for
profit organizations and municipalities. He has been associated with the
municipalities of Lewiston, Portland, Biddeford, Westbrook, Cape
Elizabeth, Falmouth, Sanford, Scarborough, Camden, Cumberland, Orono,
Brewer, Pittsfield, Auburn, Augusta, and many others. He has also been
assigned to many school districts and other governmental and
quasi-governmental entities including the Maine Municipal Association.
Greg has participated in a number of relevant
training courses including Advanced Financial Reporting for Governments
Sponsored by GFOA, How to Communicate Material Noncompliance and
Professional Training for the Local Firm - Levels 1-4. He also has
attended a Fred Pryor seminar entitled “How to Make Presentations with
Confidence and Power” and has attended a variety of training courses
related to Circular A-133, Audits of States, Local Governments and
Non-profit Organizations. Recently Greg has been focusing his continuing
professional education on GASB Statement 34, the new reporting model for
governmental entities. He has attended several training seminars
recently and has assisted in presenting GASB 34 training seminars on
June 9, 2000 and April 6, 2001 for RKO clients. He has also presented
seminars on GASB 34 for the Maine County Commissioners’ Association,
Maine Municipal Association, Maine Government Finance Officers’
Association, the Maine Association of School Business Officials, and
other groups.
